I am a multilingual Brazilian born American visual storyteller with a Masters Degree in Photography from New York University and a B.A. in Social Communication from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. My work has been extensively published worldwide and exhibited in solo and group shows in the United States, France and Brazil. I am based both in New York City and Rio de Janeiro, have many years of experience working as a freelance photographer for editorial and commercial clients. For the last 20 years I have been working on personal projects in Brazil covering a gamut of ethnographic themes ranging from a vanishing stone age indigenous tribe in the Amazon rainforest to the migrant sugarcane workers, a workforce soon to be substituted by machinery. My images are available for purchase and I am available for commissioned work all over the world.
